December - Let's Party! Events On Campus

The Great American Road Trip

Welcome to The Great American Road Trip, a monthly progression of events that takes students to various travel destinations throughout the United States! Our destination for the month of December is the hometown of each student, where we’ll be hosting the Home for the Holidays promotion. The core event for this month will be the creation of a “My Favorite Holiday Recipe Board”, where students can post their favorite holiday food memories and recipes from their past. Reflective of the expression “home is where the heart is,” our main goal during this promotion is to leave the students with a warm, friendly feeling about campus dining…a feeling that they will look forward to experiencing once again when they return for a new start in 2008!

Event Instructions

Here’s how to experience our Home for the Holidays event!

Home for the Holidays is designed to be reflective of the phrase “home is where the heart is”, and you’re sure to enjoy the traditional celebration we’ve planned.

Here’s how to join in the fun:

1. Before the event, pick up a My Favorite Holiday Recipe card. Fill it out with your personal favorite recipe, along with any special story behind it. Drop off the card and your recipe may be chosen for our special Recipe Board!

2. Upon entering the dining area on the night of the event, fill out an entry form for a chance to win some great prizes.

3. Check out our Favorite Holiday Recipe Board to see if your recipe was selected!

4. Sample the favorite holiday recipes of your fellow students that were submitted in our My Favorite Holiday Recipe contest – you may just discover a new favorite dish!

5. Sit back and relax as you and your friends enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Home for the Holidays!

That’s all there is to it – have fun as we celebrate the season and go Home for the Holidays!
